Much of North America was settled by trappers who explored and pioneered this great country. In many areas, it is a forgotten or lost art. In others, it is frowned upon by those who do not understand the importance of managing wildlife. Most biologists and wildlife managers consider trapping as the best and most effective manner of removing excess populations of predators from the landscape.

Today on Christian Outdoors, we interview a professional trapper from my home state of South Carolina. Bill Smith is owner and operator of Coastal Land and Wildlife Services in the low country of South Carolina and his profession is exactly what we described.
